THE WALL IS BACK

Rahul Dravid is back to the India one-day squad after two years. He is part of the team that was selected for tri-series in Srilanka and Champions Trophy in South Africa. Sehwag and Zaheer Khan were out due to injuries. Rohit Sharma was dropped from the squad due to his inconsistent run so far.

Art of Innings Building

The youngsters can learn the art of building the innings from the stalwarts like Sachin and Rahul. The selection of Rahul serves many purposes for Team India. One: Younger players can learn the art of building the innings from Rahul. Two: Someone like Dhoni can play his natural game. Three: Everybody can play around him and thus wickets are kept intact and at the same time score board automatically ticks on. Fo(u)remost: Numerous fans like me can again watch this great player on action in one-dayers.

Rohit Sharma - Another Ashraful?

Rohit Sharma has the potential to become next Rahul or Sachin. “Inconsistency” is the one word which separates him from those greats. With his regularly increasing degree of inconsistency he is going more the way of Mohammed Ashraful. Ashraful is also a talented batsman but he was never consistent. His success rate was very low. I hope Rohit Sharma addresses this deficit of him and come back as a stronger batsman.
